Outreach Programs
We utilize the power of dance, music, and creativity to improve mobility and quality of life for people with our outreach programs Dance for Parkinson’s, offered to people with Parkinson’s disease, their caregivers, spouses and partners, and Contemporary Dance for the Ageless and Unstoppable, for older adults in Senior Centers, Retirement Living, and Assisted Living Communities in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Dance for Parkinson’s and our new Contemporary Dance for the Ageless and Unstoppable are taught by Ruth Davidson Hahn, professional teacher, choreographer, dancer, a Stanley J. Wertheimer Fellow specially trained in the internationally acclaimed Dance for PD® method, and specially trained with Lifetime Arts, national leaders in creative aging program development. These dance arts programs are enjoyable, mentally stimulating, and creative. The goal is fun! All levels of mobility are welcome. Participants will explore elements of different dance forms in a non-pressured, social environment in which music energizes, enriches and empowers.
