As a preventative measure to decrease risk associated with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Ruth Davidson Hahn & Company has suspended in-person Dance for Parkinson’s classes until further notice. Dance for Parkinson’s weekly remote classes are coming this fall. Click here to read the full announcement.
We utilize the power of dance, music, and creativity to improve mobility and quality of life for people with our Outreach Programs Dance for Parkinson’s, offered to people with Parkinson’s disease, their caregivers, spouses and partners, and Movement & Music, for older adults in Senior Centers, Retirement Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Our Dance for Parkinson’s and Movement & Music Outreach Programs are both modeled after the internationally acclaimed Dance for PD® program in which participants explore movement and music in ways that are enjoyable, stimulating, and creative. No dance experience is required. The class is a very comfortable pace. All levels of mobility are welcome. Participants will explore elements of different dance forms in a non-pressured, social environment in which music energizes, enriches and empowers.
These exceptional top-quality programs are taught by Ruth Davidson Hahn, professional choreographer, dancer, teacher, and a Stanley J. Wertheimer Fellow specially trained in the Dance for PD® method.
